The Wrong Problem

Are we solving the right problem?

Believing in CEA, food security, and local production doesn't always mean the answer is to grow.

Converting an office building into a vertical farm sounds visionary. But if a purpose-built, low-tech greenhouse outside the city can grow the same crop for half the cost, why force the office to become a farm?

A former chicken barn may be worth more as year-round covered parking than as an indoor lettuce facility.

Passion for the mission is admirable. Confusing it with sound economics is expensive.
